Our Story
​
One of my fondest memories growing up as a child was spending time with my parents in our garden every summer. We had a garden for as long as I can remember. Every summer my dad would prep the soil and lay out the rows and I would follow behind and drop the seeds in the holes. Some years we had extra vegetables and my brother and I would set up a vegetable stand at the end of the driveway. This is where my passion for fresh, home grown food comes from. All the colors, the smells and the different shapes. Gardens open the door to so many possibilities. You are able to try new varieties; some work and some don't. My love for growing my own food has never stopped over the years. Once my husband and I bought our first house, we immediately started a garden. To me, a home isn't a home without a garden.

My husband and I have been growing our own food now for 10+ years and we would like to make it available in our community and share our love for fresh food. This is why we have started our CSA, Blue Silo Farms. With our CSA we hope all of our members are able to try new vegetables and maybe find new favorites as well.

Veggie Box
​
Beans, beets, bok choi, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers, eggplant, green onions, herbs, kale, leeks, lettuce, melon, onions, peas, peppers, potatoes, radishes, spinach, sweet potatoes, swiss chard, tomatoes, turnips, zucchini
Salad Box

Arugula, asian greens, baby greens, beets, carrots, cucumbers, herbs, kale, lettuce, micro greens, onions, peppers, radishes, swiss chard, tomatoes, turnips

Although the variety is smaller than the veggie box there is a larger focus on greens in the salad box
Hybrid Box
The Hybrid Box is a mix of the veggie box and salad box. If you like to eat salad, but also like a wide variety of summer vegetables this is for you. Weekly shares will alternate between veggie and salad. This is only available as a 20 week share.
